A wine wall is a glass-enclosed display column, typically in a dining room, kitchen, or restaurant floor, and it is cooled by a compact CS-series unit concealed above or adjacent to the display rather than by a room-size cellar system. The video below shows how the cooling side of a wine wall project comes together with the CS025 and CS050.
Wine Wall Cooling System Installation: CS025, CS050

Where does the cooling unit go in a wine wall?
The CS unit is typically concealed above the display in a soffit or bulkhead, or in adjacent cabinetry, with conditioned air ducted the short distance into the enclosure. The CAD drawing for the CS025 and CS050 gives the exact dimensions and clearances for planning that pocket.
Does a wine wall need a drain?
Yes. Like any refrigeration unit, the CS produces condensate that must be routed to a drain. Because wine walls sit in finished living or dining spaces, planning the condensate path early is one of the most important parts of the project.
Can a wine wall be installed in a kitchen or dining room?
That is the typical application: a glass display column in a kitchen, dining room, stair area, or restaurant floor. The enclosure needs to be built and glazed to hold cellar conditions, and the CS unit needs its clearances and a heat rejection path, which is why wine walls are usually planned with the builder and an HVAC professional together.
