Wine Guardian Cooling Units for Cellars of 1,200 to 2,200 Cubic Feet
The Wine Guardian units on this page are sized for wine cellars of roughly 1,200 to 2,200 cubic feet, the range where a dedicated wine room usually replaces a closet. This band is where the line first opens up: you can still install through the wall, or move to a ducted, split or water-cooled configuration that puts the noisy components somewhere else.
What Fits a Cellar of 1,200 to 2,200 Cubic Feet
-
Through-the-wall: the TTW04B covers cellars up to about 2,000 cubic feet, in Classic, Sentinel and Defender.
-
Ducted: the D025 and the water-cooled D025WC, rated by Wine Guardian at 250 to 2,000 cubic feet.
-
Ducted split: the DS025, for cellars where the condenser has to sit remotely.
-
Pro series: the DP25, DP25WC and SP25, the commercial-grade build of the same capacity class.
-
Wall and ceiling mount: the CS050, rated by Wine Guardian at 250 to 2,200 cubic feet.
Where These Cubic-Foot Figures Come From
Wine Guardian publishes a cubic-foot rating for the CS050 and for the ducted 025 class directly. Wine Guardian sizes the Through-the-Wall B series by heat load rather than by a published cubic-foot rating, so the TTW04B figure on this page is calculated with Wine Guardian's own cooling calculator at a documented baseline: an 8-foot ceiling, no glass, R-13 walls and floor, R-29 ceiling, a 75°F warmest wall, 80°F air to the condenser and a 55°F cellar.
This guidance is general and intended to help narrow the selection. Final sizing, installation design, electrical requirements and configuration should be confirmed with Wine Guardian's official documentation and a licensed HVAC professional or qualified contractor.
