The Wine Guardian Rework Kit, part 94H0037-00, is the electronics rework package Wine Guardian publishes for D025, D050, DS025 and DS050 wine cellar cooling units manufactured before 2020, and it changes the unit's controller, communication cable and control board to current sourcing.

A rework kit is a field modification package, so the question it answers is not whether it fits but whether your unit is in the published build window. Wine Guardian defines the fitment by build date rather than by serial range: the kit is published for units "manufactured before 2020." This kit is an electronics change, not a refrigeration change. Wine Guardian states that the kit "will replace the Controller, Communication Cable, and Control Board to the correctly sourced electronics." Nothing Wine Guardian publishes about 94H0037-00 involves the sealed refrigerant circuit, the compressor or the coils.

The reason a legacy cabinet needs all three at once is published on the individual parts. Wine Guardian lists the control board 39H0043-00 as "the control board for all Wine Guardian units manufactured after January 2020," and lists the remote interface controller 91H0105-01 as working with standard and Sentinel Series units manufactured after January 2020. A pre-2020 cabinet therefore cannot simply take the current controller on its own, which is what the rework kit resolves by changing the controller, the 50 foot communication cable 36H0109-00 and the control board together as a matched set.

Wine Guardian publishes what the kit replaces but not a component level bill of materials, and it publishes no part numbers for the items inside the carton. It also lists no documents against any of the three kits. Treat the three replaced functions as the whole of the published contents, and confirm the exact contents with Wine Guardian before ordering.

The three legacy rework kits are separated by cabinet capacity class, not by revision. Wine Guardian labels 94H0037-00 the rework kit for legacy 1/4 and 1/2 ton units, 94H0038-00 the rework kit for legacy 1 ton units, and 94H0038-01 the rework kit for legacy 2 ton units.

The pair that looks like a revision sequence is not one. 94H0038-00 and 94H0038-01 share a base number but the suffix separates two capacity classes: -00 is published for the D088 and DS088, and -01 for the D200 and DS200. Wine Guardian publishes the same replaced components and the same carton dimensions for both, and does not publish which item inside differs, so the model list and the capacity label are the only published way to tell them apart.

Wine Guardian publishes this kit for exactly four model designations, and only for cabinets in those designations that were manufactured before 2020. The D088 and DS088 take 94H0038-00 instead, and the D200 and DS200 take 94H0038-01.

The model designations have carried forward, so the current D025 and D050 pages and the current DS025 and DS050 pages describe post-2020 Sentinel Series systems that already carry the current electronics. This kit is for the pre-2020 cabinets wearing the same four designations. Because those four span two cellar size bands, the kit maps to no single band.

Read the model number and the build date from the data plate on the unit, then confirm the kit part number against Wine Guardian's parts list and parts department before ordering. A cabinet built after January 2020 already carries the current electronics and does not take a rework kit.

If the data plate puts your cabinet in a different capacity class, the kit you need is 94H0038-00 for the D088 and DS088 or 94H0038-01 for the D200 and DS200. A cabinet already on post-January-2020 electronics takes the control board, controller and communication cable as separate parts instead of a kit.
